Annual Members Symposium

The Cannabis Regulators of Color Coalition's Annual Members Symposium is a crucial platform for collaboration, education, and empowerment within the developing legal cannabis industry. A pioneering initiative that gathers Black & Brown regulators, from across the nation and internationally, who are at the forefront of shaping cannabis equity and policy reform. This event highlights the work of our membership jurisdictions and facilitates dialogue on equitable policies, social justice initiatives, and community engagement strategies. It amplifies marginalized communities' voices and advocates for inclusive regulation and representation in the cannabis sector.

Inaugural Members Symposium
New York City 2023

Day 1

Day 2

Empower
     Connect
         Collaborate

The inaugural CRCC Members Symposium unfolded in the vibrant heart of New York City on Thursday and Friday, April 13-14, 2023, hosted by Cannabis NYC.

Bringing together CRCC members from across the country and beyond, the hybrid event featured two days of dynamic in person & virtual programming with an impressive lineup of experts — our members — sharing invaluable experiences and insights.

Key national topics were at the forefront of our discussions, such as equity, market rules and regulations, and the pivotal role of regulators in shaping the future of cannabis policy. We delved into strategies, confronted challenges, and explored opportunities to advance equity in cannabis policy, regulation, and reform.

A highlight of the symposium was the participation of Mayor Eric Adams, who honored us with a Proclamation, declaring April 14th as Cannabis Empowerment Day in New York City.
